With her acute senses, Min Soo-Ah is able to reveal important clues on the hit and run case. Another witness, Kwon Gi-Seob then appears. Gi-Seob, who witnessed the case with his own eyes, gives contradictory statements to Min Soo-Ah. The investigation then goes through many twists and turns, while Min Soo-Ah finds herself up against the killer.

Season 1 premiered in the United States on January 18, 2004, on Showtime and featured 13 episodes presenting several entwined story lines. Set in West Hollywood, the series first introduces Bette Porter and Tina Kennard, a couple with a seven-year relationship who want to have a child. Tina eventually becomes pregnant through artificial insemination but has a miscarriage during episode 1.09: Luck, next time. Later in the series, Bette develops an affair with Candace Jewell.
The pilot introduced a coming out/love triangle storyline involving Tina and Bette’s neighbor, Tim Haspel, his new-in-town girlfriend, Jenny Schecter, and Marina Ferrer. Marina is part of Tina and Bette’s circle of friends, and owns the neighborhood cafĂ©, The Planet, which serves as the group's hang-out and focal point for the show. The season also introduces Shane McCutcheon, an androgynous, highly-sexual hairstylist and serial heart-breaker; Alice Pieszecki, a girly, bisexual journalist looking for love in any way she can, and Dana Fairbanks, a professional tennis player who is still in the closet and torn between pursuing her career and finding love. In the first season, Dana falls for a sous chef named Lara Perkins whose sexuality is questioned by the group until Lara has an unexpected meeting with Dana in the locker room.

A ghost romance story
about Yang Si Ohn (So Yi Hyun), a woman who is able to see spirits after
waking up from a 6-year long coma and Cha Gun Woo (Ok Taecyeon), a man
who only believes in solid evidence. The two detectives come to
understand each other as they try to help the spirits attached to
objects at a lost-and-found center rest in peace.
This drama will feature a love triangle between spirits and humans. Si
Ohn′s dead boyfriend Lee Hyung Joon (Kim Jae Wook) will appear as a
spirit, perfecting the supernatural romance. Hyung Joon was an elite
member of the police force, but lost his life following an unfortunate
accident.

Meanwhile, her brother Jason has joined the Fellowship of the Sun church, a religious cult devoted to spreading the word of the evils of the vampire world.

The main mystery of season 1 concerns the murders of women connected to Sookie's brother, Jason (Ryan Kwanten). Maudette Pickens, Dawn Green and Amy Burley are all strangled shortly after having been alone with Jason. Though Detective Bellefleur has little doubt that Jason is the killer, the town sheriff does not suspect him. Jason and Sookie's grandmother is murdered shortly afterward. At the end of the season, it is revealed that Arlene Fowler's fiancé, René Lenier, is actually a guy named Drew Marshall who created a fake identity with Cajun accent and all.
He has been killing women he considers "Fangbangers".
The first season also focuses on Sookie's relationship with Bill and Sam's relationship with Sookie's friend Tara Thornton. Bill explains the rules of being a vampire to Sookie and, after he finds himself killing a vampire to defend Sookie, he is forced to turn a young girl, Jessica Hamby, as punishment. In the last episode of the season, this new vampire is left with Bill under his care. After Maudette and Dawn's murders, Jason becomes addicted to vampire blood and has a short relationship with another addict, Amy, which ends when she is murdered by Drew.
At the end of season one, Jason gets clean and joins the anti-vampire movement Fellowship of the Sun.

Jang Hye Sung (Lee Bo Young) is a bold, sassy, thick-faced, comical
female lawyer. She is a prickly edge, sharp tongue who doesn't have a
bit of concept or manners and finds it hard to be enthusiastic about
what she does. Cha Kwan Woo (Yoon Sang Hyun) is a serious, passionate
and macho former police officer who becomes a government lawyer.
Meanwhile, Park Soo Ha (Lee Jong Suk) is a 19 years old boy who has the
ability or superpower to read the people's minds. Together they will
team up to solve the cases no one else wants, cases that only have a one
percent chance of being found innocent.
